Race your friends
Points, never dollars.
Challenges with friends are ranked on points. Every dollar saved earns them: Stacks 1.25, Vault 1.5 and Sacks 1 per dollar. On the leaderboard "You" can see your own $410; everyone else sees 487 points and first place.
Gifts grow their savings but don't earn points, so a teen with generous grandparents can't outrank a teen who earned it.

Nobody can find them
Teens can’t be searched for, and their friend-link page never shows their name.
Their dollars are private
Friends see points and rank, never dollar amounts. Only their parent sees their dollars.
Teens only, and you approve every friend
Teens can only be friends with other teens (and their own parent). Adults can’t add a teen, and teen challenges are teens-only. A friendship between two teens needs both teens and each teen’s parent.
Quiet nights
No notifications between 10pm and 7am.
No promotions, ever

On their 18th birthday, it’s all theirs
The account becomes theirs. Everything they saved comes with them, and their parent’s access ends.
And nobody under 13 can use StackUpp at all.

"Grandma sent you a gift."
A parent logs a gift into their teen's savings or a Sack: an amount, who it's from, and a message. The teen gets a wrapped present that wiggles until they tap it. It opens with confetti, the amount, where it went and the message.
- Gifts grow their savings but don't earn competition points.
- StackUpp never sends or holds money. A gift is a record of money given for real. As the app says: "This logs a gift, it doesn't send money."
How to add your teen
Three steps, and they're greeted by name.

Add your teen
In StackUpp: Profile → Family → Add a teen. Their first name, their birthday, and "I’m their parent or legal guardian".

Send the family code
Share it however you like. It works once and expires in 7 days.

They join
Your teen downloads StackUpp, enters their birthday, enters the code, and is greeted by name: "Hi Ava!"
What you see as a parent
Their savings, goals, challenges and friends, in your app.
Family shows each teen's Stacks, Vault and Sacks, what they're saving up for, the challenge they're in, and every friend request waiting for your approval. Send a gift from the same screen.

The questions parents ask first.
What ages?
13 to 17. Nobody under 13 can use StackUpp.
Do I need Gold?
Yes, a parent needs StackUpp Gold to add a teen. Your Gold covers your teen’s planning tools, and teens never pay for anything.
Can my teen sign up without me?
No. They need the family code you create in your app.
Who can see my teen’s money?
Only you. Friends see points and rank, never dollars.
Who can my teen be friends with?
Only other teens, and only once each teen’s parent approves.
Can adults contact my teen?
Adults can’t find or add teens, and teen challenges are teens-only.
Does StackUpp hold or move money?
No. Your teen logs what they save, and gifts are records of money you gave them for real.
What happens at 18?
The account becomes theirs. Everything they saved stays, and your access ends. We tell you both.
Can I remove my teen?
Yes, anytime, from Family. It deletes their account and data. Deleting your own account also deletes the accounts of teens you added.
Will my teen see ads?
No. StackUpp never shows promotions to anyone under 18.
